Hard Questions for the Candidates

Here are hard questions that strike to the root of the Character and purpose of the Candidates.  We are attempting to get answers from candidates to these questions.  As they are received, we will post them for you to make a wise and well informed decision about whom you want to vote to elect for Congress.

If you have questions for us to ask the candidates please send them to questions@padistrict5.com

Question about Salary
The original Congress only was paid per-diem and you are to be representative of the people whom you serve.

If elected to congress would you make an oath to the people that you would ONLY receive a salary that is the average income of the people you would represent?

Questions about Pensions and Benefits
Most people pay for their health insurance and only have a 401K or whatever they choose to invest for their retirement.

If elected to congress would you make an oath to refuse to accept a pension, purchase health insurance from a health provider and invest for your own retirement?

Questions about Term Limits
The original Congress came to meet, vote and returned home to run their own business, farm, etc. and were only paid per-diem. People who have a calling to serve are to do just that which means making sacrifices in their lives - income and time, etc.

If elected to Congress will you make an oath to do everything possible to bring about term limits at every level of government and if you fail in making this change only serve two terms and lead by example?

Questions about Judges
Judges today are not liable for any of their rulings and are not able to be disciplined for their prejudices and unprofessional conduct. Further, the terms which they are on the bench are too long. They need to serve one term either 4 or 6 years and go back to work as a lawyer. To serve as a judge is a high calling and they are there to serve and not make it a career. Their healthcare and pensions would also be reflective of that of the people whom they are to serve. To be elected to a position of public trust means making sacrifices in their lives including income and professional growth to serve the people.

If elected to Congress would you make an oath to do everything possible to bring about reform of the judiciary at every level?
